Mythology Sage Narada once visited the celestial court of Lord Shiva at Mount Kailash to present to Him a fruit, the gyana-pazham (literally, the fruit of knowledge), that held in it the elixir of wisdom. Upon Lord Shiva expressing his intention of dividing the fruit between his two sons, Ganesha and Karthikeya , the Sage counseled Him against cutting it. He decided to award it to whichever of his two sons first circled the world thrice. Accepting the challenge, the Lord Karthikeya started his journey around the globe on his sacred bird, the peacock. Chicken cutlet is a very easy to make dish. One advantage of this is you can prepare the keema (cutlets before frying) & store it in your freezer for 1 month. It comes to your rescue when you have a surprise guest for lunch or dinner. It can be also served as an evening snack. Boneless chicken – 1/2 kg Onion – 1 big Chopped ginger – 1 tablespoon Chopped green chilli – 2-3 Potato – 1 boiled & mashed Pepper powder – 1 teaspoon Garam Masala – 1 teaspoon Bread crumbs – 1 cup Egg white -1-2 Curry leaves Salt Oil – for frying Cook & mince the chicken. Saute onion till it becomes soft.Add chopped ginger, green chillies and curry leaves.Add minced chicken. Mix well. Add salt, pepper powder & garam masala. Stir for 5 minutes & remove from gas.Allow the mixyure to cool. Once it is cooled add mash potatoes & mix well.Make small balls with the mixyure & roll into desired shapes. Beat the egg white.
